In Episode No.2 of The Salad Project I speak to Colm Duffy, a PhD researcher in NUIG. Colm is currently researching Climate Change and Agricultural Economics. He also holds an M.Sc. in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security. We discuss the findings of his research, the impacts of climate change on agriculture at home and abroad and the role of knowledge transfer in developing countries. Colm co-founded the Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security Society in NUIG, a society which was instrumental in the divestment of NUI Galway's fossil fuel shares. Colm has also help lead the rejuvenation of NUIG’s organic garden, an educational and growing space available to student on campus. He tells me about the garden and how the project has taken off, with great success.
